Our Hens

Our hens roam on open pastures in a state of the art mobile hen house, allowing them to graze and forage freely, bask in the sunshine and live as nature intended.

Foraging on a naturally rich and varied diet of nuts, seeds, insects, and plants, our hens produce nutritionally dense eggs, known for their fuller flavour and higher levels of Omega-3s, Vitamin D and Antioxidants.

We do not add any pigment to their feed, which is common practice with commercial egg brands to enhance the orange colour of the yolk and provide consistency.

Thanks to our carefully selected mixed breed population, we have a range of egg shell colours including white, light browns, dark browns and blues. These make each box completely unique, which aligns nicely with our core value of diversity.

Animal welfare is always our number one priority, we strongly believe that our regenerative system offers the birds a more natural and enjoyable lifestyle, as they are free to roam from morning until night, safely protected by the nearby livestock.

Unlike most ‘free-range’ hens, that get limited access to outdoor space and actually choose to spend a lot of their time indoors, our hens are not confined to barns and spend most of their time outside in open fields.

We check on our girls every day and move them around our mob grazing system weekly to keep things fresh and exciting, as they get to enjoy lots of different natural habitats, including woodland, wide open spaces, dust baths and areas for scratching.
